About Clerica
We started this project because something felt deeply wrong about how everyday people are asked to interact with the online world. Every service we use comes with pages of legal terms that change without warning. Companies have spent years refining this process in their favor. Most people never even get the chance to understand what they are agreeing to, let alone push back when something unfair is slipped in later.
We were tired of watching consumers lose their rights simply because they could not be expected to read or track every policy update in their lives. We were tired of seeing companies treat consent as a trick rather than a conversation. So we built a better way.
Our Mission
We want to give power back to the user. Not in a loud or dramatic way, but in a steady and practical one.
- No more searching line by line to find what changed between versions.
- No more wondering if you are casually handing away your data or legal rights.
- No more being excluded from compensation when companies get taken to court.
- No more navigating these systems alone.
Our mission is to create a world where users understand what they are agreeing to and have real choices when companies overstep.
What We Do
We monitor the terms of service and privacy policies for the services you use. When something changes, you receive a clear, human explanation of what changed and what it means for you. No legal jargon. No guessing.
As we grow, we plan to expand our protections:
- Helping users join collective legal actions when companies violate rights.
- Making sure you are not quietly cut out of settlements you deserve.
- Offering access to versions of services that treat privacy and consumer rights more fairly.
- Giving everyday people access to the kinds of protections usually reserved for institutions and corporations.
We are building the kind of structure that supports the individual, rather than expecting the individual to navigate everything alone.
Who We Serve
We serve anyone who has ever clicked "I agree" and felt uncertain about what they just accepted. We serve people who want transparency. We serve people who believe their rights should not dissolve just because a company decided to rearrange its wording without notice.
Whether you are tech savvy or new to the idea of reading legal terms, our tools meet you where you are. No lectures. No pressure. Just clarity.
Our Vision
A future where people understand what they are signing. A future where corporations cannot quietly rewrite the rules of a relationship. A future where users have leverage, not just hope.
A future where accountability is normal.
